Easter Sunday
On this Easter morning, which marks the very beginning of the “story of love,” (as my beloved sister, Susan Ann Keefe, PhD, may she rest in peace, who was the greatest church historian of this era , called the new testament) we may ponder more than ever the meaning of the bullying, terrorist, abusive wave that is sweeping our country and perhaps the world. I pray that this is a time that leaves us open to learning more about the human condition, particularly the appropriate role of other people in our development as a person and in our humanity and a greater appreciation for just how enlightened our Founding Fathers were as with the firm belief in humankind’s inherent avarice they created the most humane, forward-looking, moral system of government ever in the history of the world. May, by the grace of God, please go forward in the spirit that they intended.
